Notary questions
- What ID do I need?
- Every signer needs a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID card, passport or military ID. Expired IDs cannot be accepted.
- What documents can be notarized?
- Affidavits, powers of attorney, real estate and loan documents, vehicle titles, parental consent forms, and general acknowledgments and jurats. If you are unsure about a document, call 678-883-5100 before your visit.
- Should I sign before I arrive?
- No. Do not sign the document beforehand. The notary must watch you sign, so bring it unsigned and sign it at the appointment after your ID is checked.
- Do I need an appointment?
- An appointment is recommended so the notary is available when you arrive. You can book online or call 678-883-5100 to check same-day availability.
- Can you notarize for non-tax clients?
- Yes. You do not need to be a tax client of Southeast Tax Services to use our notary services. Anyone with valid ID and their documents is welcome.
